In the town of Minden, Ontario, some of the most intense Ice Racing battles in Canada take place. The sport is fun, friendly and affordable. Almost any beat up street car can be transformed into an Ice Racer: Install some snow tires, remove the lights, install a rear-facing running fog light, number plates on the roof, grab a helmet, pay your $65 entry fee (after you’ve purchased your $60 license for the year), and you’re ready to go racing! You don’t have to break the bank either when buying a car, most Ice Racers are cars rebuilt or saved from the wrecking yard. Watch our season of Ice Racing from 2009 (Before the Fuel Injector Spa days), where we took a 1991 Subaru Legacy (non turbo), purchased for $250 and made incredible memories with it!
